Intisar Khan has taught students in grades K-5 in numerous diverse communities and settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida International University and is certified to teach in multiple states across the US. Prior to teaching elementary science, she taught elementary students in Broward County Public Schools and worked with refugee students through Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services in New Haven. Ms. Khan is particularly concerned with the inequities and disparities that are faced by minority students and students with disabilities. As an educator, she strives to ensure that all students, regardless of age, gender, class, ethnicity, language, or ability level, have access to a high-quality education.
